Free Show n Shine
Drag boatfans swarm Johnson Park on Friday evening from 6-9pm for a chance to get up-close and personal with the drivers and boats at Show & Shine. Fans have an opportunity to purchase official shirts and posters for autographs and have their picture taken with the stars of the show. The highlight of the evening comes at dusk as top-fuelers "fire up," shooting flames out exhaust pipes and splitting every ear-drum in the park. There is no cost for admission.
The 2018 LODBRS Series will consist of seven National Events and will include the LODBRS Season Opener at Bakersfield, California which will serve as a Division 1 event and NJBA co-points race in addition to being a National event.

In addition to it’s National Touring Schedule, the LODBRS will offer several other Divisional events at selected venues in partnership with the National Jet Boat Association (NJBA), the Columbia Drag Boat Association (CDBA), the Southern Drag Boat Association (SDBA), the Arizona Drag Boat Association (ADBA), and the Kentucky Drag Boat Association (KDBA). This now united sport allows more than 900 teams to run for one national championship, each national event spotlights several pro classes highlighted by the Top Fuel Hydro class. It’s all about the 8,000 horsepower nestled in sleek composite vessels - a form of Motorsport that’s as visceral as it is captivating.
Gates open bright and early Saturday at 7am, and qualifying races last all day. After the races are over for the day, spectators can go down to the pits and enjoy a free concert. (Artist TBD)
Early-birds can arrive Sunday at Lakeside Park at 7 am to get a great seat for opening ceremonies at 11 am. Immediately afterwards, top-fuel boats will thrill huge crowds with astonishing speeds that can top 260 miles per hour. The day is ended with over $100,000 in prize money given to the winners.
As with any festival, there will be plenty of food, drinks, merchandise and vendors to visit between races. Outside alcohol, pets, skateboards and umbrellas are not allowed on festival grounds.
