About SG Power
SG Power is Vancouver Island's largest and longest established power sports dealership. The company story stretches back to the 1960's when Bernie Simpson began working for Mullins Marine, a well known Victoria motorcycle and marine retailer. Bernie became part owner of Mullins in the 1970's and in 1985 he bought the entire company and began looking for a new, larger location to accommodate his big plans for the future.
This expansion came in the form of a new partnership with Bob Gibson and the newly named SG Power set up shop in the expanded premises at 730 Hillside Avenue. In 1989 Bob left and Bernie was again the sole owner of the operation. Since then SG Power has continued to operate out of this location, serving clients on their huge Hillside Avenue showroom, as well as their 748 Market Street boatyard, showroom and service bays.
SG Power is a multi line Motorcycle, Boat and Outboard dealership. With many manufacturers trying to draw customers to lots and showrooms featuring only their own brands, SG Power encourages you to comparison shop. By offering you a wider selection of brands you can effectively one stop shop, sitting on a Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki or one of our Italian brands to decide which bike is right for you. Similarly in Marine, you can have your choice of Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda outboards to repower your existing boat, or shop for a new boat from our wide selection of brands. Our factory authorized service department will look after your motorcycle, outboard or boat engine at the 748 Market Street side of our building.
SG Power is conveniently located near the areas of Saanich, View Royal, Colwood, and Oak Bay.
